The Body Impolitic

As our Supreme Court issues politically charged decisions and both sides of the aisle gear up for midterm elections, Christians are vociferously – and some would argue obnoxiously – engaging in public debate as if conservatism is the solution to our nation’s growing woes.

Nearly 3 billion people worldwide have never heard the gospel. We hear a a number like that and immediately feel defeated. We are inadequate for such a daunting task. What difference can one person make? What difference can one small church make?

Feelings, Nothing More than Feelings

“Sorry, but I’m happily married.”

People use words like these as an out to an extramarital relationship, and we applaud them. “How wonderful that someone would cling to his marital vows!” we think. It’s all very honorable. Isn’t it?
